William Forson

William Forson

William Forson is a native of Ghana who migrated to the United States in 1998 to join his wife, Kathleen Forson, and family. His journey to the United States took a winding path through Germany, England, and Trinidad & Tobago, where he met his wife Kathleen in 1991. While in the United States, William attained two degrees, a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a master's degree in Leadership and Management.

Over the past 15 years, he has been responsible for revenue cycle management in both the New York City Hospitals Network and a private hospital. As he nears the twilight of his career, he sees the call to humanitarian service like an itch that he can't help, but scratch because the cry for help from needy children in Ghana is an all too familiar refrain. Heeding the call is one that he believes will grant him upmost gratification and inner peace.

With the support of his wife and family, William founded Sankofa Roots to to help address some of the inequities and assist needy children in Ghana through humanitarian service.
