We are here to support vulnerable communities
Sankofa Roots Foundation is committed to promoting African heritage and driving sustainable community development by providing education, empowerment, and social support to underserved populations and needy children, while fostering partnerships that create lasting impact.
We believe that providing for a child is an investment in the future.
We work with local communities to build partnerships, raise awareness and provide humanitarian services for children. We cannot do that work without people like you.
What are we doing to assist these communities?
Water
One of our medium term goals is to assist in ameliorating the water crisis in Ghana, which affects mostly the poor by working with community leaders to construct pipe-borne water system for those impacted.
School Supplies
We collect, provide and distribute school supplies to those in need including new or refurbished computers, book bags, lunch boxes, notebooks, pens, pencils, pencil sharpeners, crayons, erasers, rulers, glue sticks, staplers and more.
Clothing
We collect, provide and distribute clothing to those in need including jeans, pants, shirts and more. We prefer lighter clothing due to the tropical climate conditions the people the clothes are donated to live in.
Adoption
One of our goals is to facilitate adoptions by collaborating with families and community leaders to match kind-hearted people with children of different ages.
